Spring Preview ‘09: Tracy Reese

This week, we’re sending an open love letter to Spring 09. We’re lusting after all things beautiful, delicate and feminine. Having recently spoke to ROMY FELICIANI, Canadian Account Executive for Tracy Reese, she gave us a hopeful glimpse into our lovely spring future.

Tracy Reese is known for…Epitomizing feminine chic, the collection continually reveals timeless wearable looks pulled from vintage and bohemian influences.

Who is the Tracy Reese shopper…The Tracy Reese woman loves color, prints and embellishments. She likes luxe textures and fabrics and feminine silhouettes that make her feel like a woman.

Highlights in the Spring ‘09 collection…The Tracy Reese spring 2009 collection is a brilliant progression of nature and form with delicate, yet sophisticated pieces that emanate modern romance and strong femininity. Watercolor pastels converge into deeply intense vibrant hues, while relaxed silhouettes shift into layered and then architectural shapes, telling the story of a garden fantasy and the evolution of spring.

Lo at Blo

Celeb spotting in Vancouver. We heard one of the gals from The Hills was in town last week and snagged the ‘lo-down’ from one of our top-notch sources, Chris from blo Blow Dry Bar. Who’s hair did he style at the Opus Hotel? None other then Lauren’s roomie and sidekick, Lauren ‘Lo’ Bosworth.

We wanna know, what’s she really like?…She was really really nice and uber polite. She’s just a regular girl, you know? Easy going, chatty, down to earth - just very relatable. She was just like any of our other hair cadets. Super cute.

Did you learn any secrets about the other girls from The Hills…She wasn’t in Vancouver for the show, she was promoting Yasmin birth control, so I didn’t want to pry about The Hills.. I got the feeling that she isn’t the type to gossip about her gals.

Fashionista Diaries

WHO: REBECCA TAY
WHAT: Western Editor of FASHION Magazine
WHERE: Vancouver

Day in the life… Email, email, email, always! The rest of the time, it depends on where we are in our production cycle. I either spend a lot of time writing, editing, or proofing! The other parts of my day are filled with showroom visits, meetings with sales/distribution reps, writers and editors for freelance work I take on. And of course, getting out there to see what’s new, either through private appointments to see a new space or by literally being out there, shopping and test-driving new spas!

Necessary extravagance…
For me that would have to be my weekly cheap-and-cheerful Mani at Pure Nail Bar. I gnaw at my cuticles like crazy, so without them, my hands would be unsightly. I guess some people might not consider it too extravagant because they’re not expensive on a one-off basis, but 4-5 times a month…
