Can I have another slice?

If you love all things that smell scrumptious, you’ll love Canadian born Cake Beauty. It’s a total must-have bath and beauty product line inspired by all things yummy.

For ultra soft hands, try the Milk Made Velveteen Hand Cr?me. You’ve totally got to take care of your hands cause that’s the first sign of aging. In 20 years, you’ll have a beautiful face from all that expensive face cream but without some nourishing hand cream, you’ll have granny hands. Are you scared yet?

If you’re looking for a luscious kissable pout, then the Cake Kiss Whipped Pink Berry is for you. Your lips with be dewy and soft, with a light scent of berries. Your lucky boyfriend will thank you.

I love baths, so the Cr?me de la Cr?me sounds so decadent and divine. A bath and shower froth infused with virgin oil de coco cr?me for oh-so soft skin. And to go with the bath, I’d light a Mint Cashmere Cream Candle. It’s scented with creamy peppermint and silky chocolate, can’t get a better combo then that.

Don’t forget the Citrus Squeeze, a smooth brown sugar scrub, a must-have to get rid of that flaky dry winter skin.

Unlike the chocolate buffet at the Sutton Place Hotel, this indulgence won’t add any extra calories. It’s guilt-free and won’t require any extra trips to gym. That works for me!

You’ll find Cake products at The Bay Downtown, Beautymark in Yaletown, Open Sundaes on West 10th, Maude Salon on West 4th and Frivolous in South Surrey. You’ll also find cute Cake gift sets in the gift section at Chapters, a perfect place to pick-up emergency gifts. And for those who plan ahead, free shipping for online orders over $100.

A Fatal Attraction to Cuteness

Vancouver girls definitely have a fatal attraction to cuteness. Hello, the whole Hello Kitty and Sanrio obsession. I carry a little Hello Kitty mirror in my makeup bag and still have my vintage Little Twin Star mirror/comb compact circa late 80’s. And yes, I am a mirror whore.

On my way to the Nars counter at the Bay downtown, I stumbled upon the Harajuku Lovers line of handbags by the fabulous Gwen Stefani. The line is inspired by her whole Love, Music, Angel, Baby album which featured her four Harajuku Girl backup dancers. Harajuku is a famous district in Tokyo, Japan and the Harajuku Girls (girls who hang out in this district) are famous for their eclectic and one-of-a-kind style. I’m singing Gwen’s Rich Girl song in my head right now, the Harajuku Girls are in her lyrics, so damn catchy, but now it won’t go away!

Harajuku Lovers is girly punk mixed with bubblegum fun and is totally super cute. You’ll find messenger bags, duffels, totes and handbags in crazy patterns for those who love to have something more original, spunky and eye-catching, including the Wicked Handbag in Camo Love and the Uh-O Tote in the Logo Heart. They’d be the perfect bags for a casual day, when you’re wearing something terribly plain that needs a little extra kick.

Gwennie’s also back with a new video, Wind It Up. No Harajuku Girls, just lots of yodeling.

I dream of dresses

I saw this Tiered Ruffle Dress at Club Monaco today. It’s much prettier in person then it is in the picture. It’s short, but not so short that it’s skank, but enough that you can show off your legs. I keep thinking of Tina Turner or Beyonce, the perfect dress to dance your ass off in. So hot. I hope I don’t have any nightmares tonight because I walked out of the store without buying it. My credit card couldn’t take it. So sad.

Life in Plastic, It’s Fantastic

When I was a little girl I had a California Dream Barbie. She had big blonde hair, a cute blue and white polka dot bikini and a hot pink graffiti skirt. Fast forward to 2006 and the skinny legs, big boobs and tiny waist haven’t changed, but Barbie’s gear sure has. Any girl who receives these Juicy Couture Barbies are destined to become little fashion divas and future fashionistas. These aren’t just any Barbies, these dolls are inspired by Juicy’s two founders, Pam Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor. I love the details, Juicy charm bracelets, green and pink terry cloth sets, the Ugg-like boots, the old school knee high socks, the Paris Hilton Tinkerbell pooch, the signature doggie carrier and the yoga mat. She must be on her way to Bikram’s class after a long day of shopping. No wonder her waist is so tiny, must be all those yoga poses.
