The other day one of my best friend’s and I headed to the Five Point on Main Street for a late brunch. She had on a gorgeous double-breasted black wool coat from French Connection with cute black leggings and the prettiest houndstooth pumps. We ordered our eggs and sausages and she then whips off her coat to reveal the oh-too-short top she’s wearing with her leggings. Sorry babe, love you but you knew the top was way too short for the leggings. Covering the bum area is a must when wearing leggings. Whether a long tunic or sweater, a dress, a mini-skirt or a jumper, the ass should be covered.

These boots, the Steve Madden Haydons, have pretty much been haunting me since August. I first tried them on at Gravity Pope on West 4th in August, when it was still sunny, hot and flip-flop weather. I make bad shopping decisions too. I naively walked away from the boots, I didn’t know if these were “the boots” of the season since it was only August and I hadn’t seen many of the fall styles yet. They were then featured in Lucky magazine and I realized I really wanted these cuff boots, perfect to wear with leggings or skinny jeans tucked in. Sadly, when I went back for them in early October, they were already sold-out and they told me they weren’t getting anymore. I trekked across the border cause the boots were on Nordstrom’s website. Sadly, they weren’t in the stores. I then attempted to buy them on eBay and missed the end of two separate auctions for my size 6’s! It pained me to think about the boots. With shipping and duty I couldn’t justify buyin’ `em on the Steve Madden website. But finally, I gave in today cause they just went on sale! Yippee! Boots are on their way. My life is now complete.
