H&M Spring Sneak Peek
So there’s snow on the ground and we’re bundled up to the nines, but that doesn’t mean we can’t start dreaming about Spring. Check out some of the items that will be hitting up the H&M rack next year. We’re seeing lots of crisp blues, soft pinks and beige, cuffed pants, khaki, even a Zebra printed jumpsuit circa 80’s for those feeling a lil’ adventerous!

Totally Nood

So typically at Style Spy it’s all about gorgeous dresses, killer shoes or that must-have mascara. But I had to share one of my favourite finds this year, the furniture lifestyle store, Nood “New Objects of Desire”. We’re currently on furniture shopping overload trying to furnish our new Style Spy offices for January, and we couldn’t resist ourselves when we popped into Nood. Modern, retro-chic and funky pieces that will add character to any room. Love, love, love. On top of their hip collection of furniture, you’ve got a great mix of fun kitchen and homeware, bed and bath and decor and gifts, like the super groovy ball clock, the doodle mug (half chalkboard, half coffee mug) or the uber-cute whale scrubber. Nood’s have a super sale, with 50-75% off everything in the store, hurry, the sale ends today!
Drop by Nood Gastown (151 Water Street, Vancouver), Nood Burnaby (4568 Kingsway, Burnaby) and Nood North Vancouver (Corner of Fell Avenue & Marine Drive, North Vancouver).

Resolutions - The Style Spy Way

Just like Clinton from What Not to Wear says – here’s to a Happy New Year and a new wardrobe. Although, at the Style Spy we talk fashion and beauty shop all year round, there are ways we too can kick it up a notch. Here are our resolutions for 2009.
“To take more chances and step outside my boundaries. Less black. More colour, patterns and textures.”
Erica Lam , Editor-in-Chief
“I will actually use my accessories collection. Too often I get lazy and don’t slide on that cocktail ring or switch to that metallic clutch.”
Heidi Hofstad, Managing Editor
“I plan on switching up my clear glosses for some brighter, bolder, statement-making lipstick shades.”
Sunita Bassra, Street Style Reporter
“In 2009, I intend to forgo the flats and wear more heels.”
Jan Tong, Style Reporter
“I will trust my own instincts a lot more when making fashion and beauty buys.”
Aliyah Shamsher, Spotlight Reporter
“I plan on taking more chances with my locks in the New Year.”
Christie Lohr, Style Reporter
Now what are your resolutions?
