After she finished high school, Edmonton native VANESSA LEWIS, packed up her things in the back of her car, reached Vancouver and never left. Fast forward seven years later and Vanessa is now a freelance fashion consulant and knows that a pair of killer shoes can make any outfit. Meet, Vanessa and her favourite things.

Glow worthy… MAC bronzer, you can never go wrong with a little glow.

Scent… My grandmother wore Chanel No. 5, so every time I smell it I think of her. I just discovered Coco Mademoiselle which is a lighter fragrance I can wear.

(Not so) guilty pleasure… The Real Housewives series, especially Jersey, and I don’t feel guilty if I like it!

You can most likely find me… Spending time with girlfriends.

The grass is always greener on the other side, and having stick straight hair has always made me lust after beautiful loose waves. Luckily, the loose crimped waves seen on DVF’s Spring runway look easy enough to recreate on even the straightest of hair. If you’ve got time and mad skills, a straightening iron can be used to achieve this look but honestly, I’ve never been able to master that method and I much prefer the easy way. Simply spray slightly damp freshly washed hair with a texturizing or wave creating spray and loosely braid hair before bed. Waking up with pretty hair? It really doesn’t get any better than that.
