Party Notes: Juno Edition

With this year’s Juno Awards being in Vancouver –the typical amount of hot spots to hit up more than doubled. There is a particular VIP party that sees all the talent rolls through – the swanky gift lounges. Yes, we’re talking parties in plural form.

Kicking it off, we visited the new Shangri-La hotel and entered The Sea to Sky Lounge. Between checking out Maviland and their boat full of goodies along with Kathy Van Zeeland and T-Box we spotted Dallas Green of Alexisonfire and hubby of MuchMusic’s Leah Miller.

The next day, we were back again at the Shangri-La for The Tastemakers Lounge which saw the likes of Maestro Fresh Wes, Elise Estrada, and eTalk’s Ben Mulroney and Tanya Kim. Noir Lash Lounge was on location prettifying the guests with luscious lashes and we picked up some Cosabella undergarments in very on-trend pastel colours – all which could be taken home in a BYOB bag – how appropriate for Earth Day!

On our way out, we bumped into a couple major players in the Canadian broadcasting books – Rick Campanelli from Entertainment Tonight Canada (and ex-Muchmusic VJ) with George Strombolopolous from CBC’s The Hour.

After this we were off to Loden, a recently opened boutique hotel, hosted The Artist Sanctuary Lounge in their Penthouse Suite. Special thanks to our friends at Vitamin Water for the exclusive invite. As we made our way from room to room, we passed by MuchMusic VJ, Devon Soltendieck, Diane from MTV, lovely Juno award winner Lights, and the gorgeous Natalli Reznik from So You Think You Can Dance? Canada. This is just a small list of all the faces that were hanging out around town this past weekend!

Schmoozing can be hard work…we decided to plop down on the couches to relax for a bit -when none other than the host of the 2009 Juno Awards himself walks right in. Entourage and all. Funny man, Russell Peters, crashed our couch for a photo op and cracked some jokes. We can definitely say that you see on TV is what you get with Russell. You know, just your usual party notes.
